Annual Celebration
Future dates to be announced.
The North Carolina Science Festival is a multi-day celebration showcasing science and technology. The Festival will highlight the educational, cultural and financial impact of science in our state. Through hands-on activities, science talks, lab tours, nature experiences, exhibits and performances, the Festival will engage a wide range of public audiences while inspiring the next generation of scientists.
Events appeal to diverse audiences – from preschoolers to seniors and from “science-phobes” to science lovers. The North Carolina Science Festival will have something for just about everyone.
The North Carolina Science Festival and others like it offer an opportunity to celebrate science in fun and welcoming settings. With this Festival, we have the opportunity to cultivate a positive environment that encourages children to pursue science-related careers and encourages businesses to invest in North Carolina.
North Carolina Science Festival events will take place in a variety of venues across the state – science museums, businesses, college and university campuses, parks, restaurants, theaters and more. Some events will be inside, while others will take place in nature.
The festival is presented by Morehead Planetarium and Science Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
