Annual Celebration
Future dates to be announced.

In June 2010 the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography hosted its very first "Saturday Afternoon Science" event.  The event offered tours of the university's labs as well as the Inner Space Center where pictures of various research expeditions were shown, including pictures of marine life found in the Narragansett area.   Additionally, visitors were able to take in a series of lectures and also check out demonstrations of the scientific equipment used by researchers in their various project. The university hopes that the event will make science more accessible to the public by allowing visitors to interact with scientists to learn more about their research.
