The Festival of Nature, Britain’s largest celebration of the natural world, takes over Bristol June 12 and 13.

Now in its 7th year, the festivities kick off with a concert of local young musicians and BBC Concert Orchestra members, showcasing a new composition for a wildlife film. In the week leading up to the festival science cafes will keep the city talking. On the main Saturday and Sunday of the festival over 70 organizations will be running free hands-on activities in Bristol’s Harbourside, a short walk from the city’s center. Another major draw of the festival are the over 50 vendors that will be selling local and regional hot food, produce, plants, green services and more.
