Wrexham Science Festival Ends Exciting Week

Friday, 04 June 2010 | Wrexham Science Festival

Although the Wrexham Science Festival is nearly over, there is still one more day of exciting science-themed events for visitors to check out.  This Saturday, July 10th will feature three more events for all to enjoy before the festival comes to a close.

At the "Amoeba to Zebra" event visitors young and old can listen to a rock band sing about the natural history of the earth from start to finish.

Science history is the focus of the showing of the documentary "Naming Pluto" and the following discussion with Dr. Allan Chapman of Oxford University.  The documentary tells the story of Pluto's discovery 80 years ago and the young girl who chose the planet's name.

Finally, guests can enjoy "The Beagle Has Landed" a play based on Charles Darwin's famous voyage aboard the HMS Beagle.

More information about the remaining events and the rest of the festival can be found here.
