Maker Faire Detroit

Monday, 07 June 2010 | The Henry Ford

Don't miss out on Maker Faire Detroit, coming up July 31st-August 1st at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan.  The fair brings together makers of all sorts and exemplifies the spirit of engineering and ingenuity.

Visitors will have the opportunity to take in the engineering masterpieces of makers from all over the country, while also participating in a handful of hands-on activities.

Among the exhibits are a Sashimi Tabernacle Choir, Arduino Powered Skeeball Machine, the BigDog vehicle, an 8 by 10 foot Etch-a-Sketch, and many other creative engineering endeavors.

Attendants can also build their own model rockets, make crafts, and take in the famous Life-Size Mousetrap (just like the game!) and the Great American Horn Machine, a mechanical device that pumps out notes from ship and train air horns.

Be sure to check out the fair specifics here and learn more about the many exhibits here.
