Korea Science Festival Starts Soon

Monday, 07 June 2010 | Korea Science Festival

The Korea Science Festival returns for its 14th year and will be held at the KINTEX facility in Ilsan, Korea August 3-8.  The event has been wildly popular in past years and promises to return with over 150 events, lectures, hands-on activities, and exhibitions.

The name of this year's science festival is Science for Dream- Science 4D: Diversity, Dialogue, Dream for another Decade. It follows two main themes.  The first theme has an emphasis on global issues and will incorporate the UN's International Week of Biodiversity initiative.  The second theme is a push for advancements in technology.

One of the most attractive features of the festival are the hands-on activities.  Last year they were so popular that exhibitors could not accomadate the shear volume of visitors, leading to this year's implementation of free tickets that will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The event is organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity.  More information about the festival can be found in this brochure.
