Australia Readies for Ultimo Science Festival

The 5th annual Ultimo Science Festival will be held August 16-29.  Events will take place in venues down the length of Harris Street in Sydney, Australia as part of Australia's National Science Week.

With two jam-packed weeks of events, the festival promises something for everyone.  There will be several performance events, including Great Big Science Gig, a science-rock cabaret that will be playing songs about ants and the inside of the mouth.  And for the younger ones there's "Maths Comedy-Planet of the Primes," a show about a space hero who uses comedy to explore the math universe.

Other highlights include talks about the science of various beverages, one about coffee and the other about alcohol.
